Eagle Glen Golf  ourse, Central Michr public facility, designed by Jerry Mathews, will test your game on every level. Situated on 188 acres of rolling Northern Michigan terrain, Ray Hearn and Jerry Mathews of Matthews and  Associates have created a little corner of Scotland right here in Central Michigan. Among the unique features of the course are bent grass tees, greens, natural wetlands, 70 bunkers and hundreds of mounds. Firefly Golf Links , built in the early 1930Ā´s is Clare County´s oldest golf course.  Tamaracks Golf Courseis conveniently locatedĀ  just 20 minutesĀ north of the Doherty Hotel three  miles offĀ  U.S. 27 freeway,Ā  where "Northern Michigan Begins". The phrase  "Challenging butĀ  player Friendly" is overused in the golf world, but in the case of The Tamaracks, it is more than fitting. DonĀ´t let it´s relatively short  layout fool you. Water on half
